Turn your supervised experience into a Tasmanian builder licence application.

If you have the qualifications and supervised experience to step up, BLS helps identify the Tasmanian builder class and prepare the project history, supervisor details and documents for CAT.

How builder licensing works in Tasmania.

Consumer Affairs Tasmania (CAT) assesses builder licence applications in Tasmania, and the builder licence guidance now sits on Building Standards Tasmania’s site. Builder licences are divided into General Construction, Builder Fire Protection Services and Demolisher classes, with subclasses that set the type and size of work. Each application needs the qualification and supervised experience required for the selected class.
