Supervising on someone else's registration

Victoria does not issue a site supervisor licence. The BPC class for managing or arranging domestic building work carried out by a registered domestic builder is Project Manager (domestic). That registration does not let you carry out the building work yourself, and it does not let you engage an unregistered builder to do it.

Your experience or current licence may save you from repeating work.

These are different routes. RPL assesses skills against a qualification. Mutual recognition deals with an existing interstate licence or registration.

Recognition of prior learning

Already know the work? You may not need to repeat the training.

A qualified RTO assessor can compare skills gained through work, training or life experience with the course requirements. You may receive full or partial credit. If your evidence does not cover every requirement, gap training may still be needed.

RPL assesses a qualification. It does not issue the licence.
